I believe I had a scene in my head. But this is so dramatic. Maybe I should’ve stopped here and tried my hand at play writing.
When I wake up every morn’
I scrape up every ounce of energy I own
‘Cause I know what’s coming up ahead
And I’d really rather stay in bed
‘Cause I know I’ve got to see you
Despite how little I care
And I don’t wanna know
Why your life isn’t fair
So complain all that you want to
But I don’t like to listen to you
The temperature’s going down
And I’m shivering barely breathing
Even as the warm sun comes around
The skies are bleak and dreary
And it doesn’t help a bit
That you want me, that you need me
‘Cause everybody knows
That when you come to show
The air’s so cold it’s freezing
Be a doll, won’t you now
They all say like it’s possible somehow
But whenever I see your face
I think “someone get me out me out of this place”
‘Cause I really don’t want to see you
That’s how little I care
I just don’t wanna know
How come your life isn’t fair
So complain all that you want to
But I don’t like to listen to you
The temperature’s going down
And I’m shivering barely breathing
Even as the warm sun comes around
The skies are bleak and dreary
And it doesn’t help a bit
That you want me, that you need me
‘Cause everybody knows
That when you come to show
The air’s so cold it’s freezing
It’s time to say goodnight
But I wish it was forever goodbye
And hopefully it’ll be alright
When I close my eyes
The temperature’s coming back around
So it’s better now to breathe and
Now as the sun leaves town
I’ll pretend that life is easy
It’s better everyone knows
When it’s time for you to go home
‘Cause you’re just so cold it’s freezing
‘Cause you’re just so cold it’s freezing
