We’re finally in college! Yay! Jared was a classmate, a partner in my history project. He called me and the other two “squad.” This is not a love song. It’s a vent. And it’s not even a whole song. By the last line I just got confused and stopped. Because nothing interesting was going to come out of a non-love song. Trust me, when I did find a lover, it was very easy to write.
I’ll never understand
What I find so annoying about you
It’s not particular
In anything you do
Don’t bother me anymore
Even though I really want you to
Don’t talk to me when I’m busy
Don’t tap my shoulder again
Don’t call me when I’m at work
Or assume you’re my friend
Then just pick up and leave me
For somebody else
If you’re going to be a part of my life
At least stick close to me
I don’t want to run after attention
Be there only when you need
I have a life, too
I am not just a game
Do you find that awkward
‘Cause I know you don’t feel the same
