Wrong

It doesn’t have to be

Complicated

Stand up on my two feet

Like I always done before

If I look back to see

How far I’ve waded

The water’s not that deep

I can almost see the floor

Taking control shouldn’t be so hard

But my hands in the air have let go of the wheel

My head’s stuck in fantasy, gone too far

But if I mess up now, I mess up for real

I can’t afford

To let this go wrong

Like I always done before

Look at me all

Responsible

Like I know what I’m doing

Like I’m not gonna fall

Look at my future being

Possible

Like I can still do this

Like I won’t get it wrong

Taking control shouldn’t be so hard

But my hands in the air have let go of the wheel

My head’s stuck in fantasy, gone too far

But if I mess up now, I mess up for real

I can’t afford

To let this go wrong

Like I always done before

Do I look like this to you

One eye to the mirror

And I’m staring down at a fool

‘Cause you can’t see my bruise

And it’s getting clearer

That I can go wrong if I choose

But how should I help it if I have got so much to lose

It couldn’t be clearer

That I will go wrong when I choose

Taking control shouldn’t be so hard

But my hands in the air have let go of the wheel

My head’s stuck in fantasy, gone too far

But if I mess up now, I mess up for real

I can’t afford

To let this go wrong

Like I always done before
