“Special”

She’s just a little strange
Her mind doesn’t work like yours and mine does
No, she can’t make her mind up
She just stays all night
In her room, with her hobbies

She’s just a little strange
I tried to teach her accounting
And a love for mathematics
But I think we best forget it
She’s not so good at that, is she

She’s just a little unhinged
Oh, she’s obsessed with sounds
She thinks her name belongs in crowds
Screaming out
She thinks she’s something special
Yeah, yeah, I know.
Truly something “special”

Don’t tell it to her face
She has too many issues
You can bet that she’ll fight with you
And she thinks she’s always right
Just leave her to her devices
She’ll be fine

Don’t tell it to her face
She likes to be very dramatic
She once pretended she’s an actress
Went to school and took some classes
But she’s kinda terrible at it, isn’t she

She’s just a little unhinged
Oh, she loves being talked about
She thinks that she belongs on stage
She’s so loud
She thinks she’s something special
Yeah, yeah, I know.
Truly something “special”

But what can you do about it
She said she’d die without it
Nothing gets through, we’ve tried
At least she’s working, nine to five
Even if she doesn’t want it
We all have to try our hardest
To get by

Oh, she’s doesn’t listen
If you don’t let her dream out loud
She thinks that she’s a superstar
But deep down
I’m sure she knows she’s nothing special
Yeah, yeah, you know.
Truly something else.
